We attended the Dade City Kumquat Festival today. I entered a little quilt in the quilt show. The theme was "Orange You Glad You're in Florida". My entry used some Florida material I purchased at Keep Me In Stitches in Tampa. Linda and I discussed the fact that we need to find a way to remember which quilt shops have particular specialties. After doing the Flamingo Shop Hop last month, we've visited a number of different shops. I think we'll start a Wiki of shops we've visited, with short reviews of each shop and what we liked about them.
We also visited Quilts on Plum Lane, ironically located on the corner of Meridian and 7th in Dade City. They have some cool quilt block patterns for a Florida album quilt. They had a sample on the wall that I liked the looks of, and they're teaching the class in February on a Friday. The instructor said she would schedule that class on Saturday next October. I'll take that one!
